Step 1. Boot camp clients: please complete all steps.

1. First things first—let’s get you scheduled and registered for your classes. The boot camp classes are all 40 minutes long and begin next Monday, and are limited to 20 people per class (so that you get enough attention from the coaches and no one has to feel glued together like sardines in a can). You work at your own pace, so if you have an injury or if you haven’t worked out in a long time, that’s okay–just let your coach know. When you click the link below, you will be re-directed to the Paypal site to purchase your trial pass (if you have purchased your pass please skip to the next section.) Once submitted you will receive email indicating that your payment went through and sent to the waiver/consent page. Please review it carefully and print or bookmark that page as it is your receipt and outlines all the legalese you need to know.

2. Register for your Fit Clients account. Fit Clients is our tracking software that allows you to do your weigh-ins and securely upload your progress photos so we can track your progress and so that Karie can create your customized meal plan. This account is totally private and secure—only Karie and you can see your information and pictures. You will need a measuring tape, a scale that reads body fat percentage (if you don’t have one, we can do this at the studio), and either someone to take your pictures or you can download a “voice activated shutter” on your phone that will allow your phone to take a picture when you speak. The photos need to include front, back, and both sides, head to toe (again these are totally secure–no one but Karie sees them).  Click the icon below to register. There is an iPhone app (Android is coming) and if you use that, the trainer ID is 4073. You will need to create a log in and password for this site as well. BY THE WAY: most of the emails I send to you will be from this system–DO NOT LOG IN WITH FACEBOOK unless that is the email you usually check.

A lot of people ask me why they have to take their pics—yes, I know it’s painful. I promise it’s not to humiliate you. First of all, I can better customize your meal plan if I know where you carry your weight. But there’s an even bigger reason. What happens when we lose body fat and add muscle tone is that sometimes we don’t see big drops on the scale—because we are adding muscle and subtracting fat. This messes with our heads and can cause us to think that we aren’t “losing weight” when in fact, we are. I’ll explain more about this when you and I meet one-on-one, but here’s a picture of one of the boot campers who let me share this so you can see (just so you know, I never show any pictures without permission. Period). She lost 8 pounds on the scale (gained four pounds of muscle and lost 12 pounds of fat) and was literally in tears because she had been working so hard for 6 weeks and didn’t even see these results when she looked in the mirror. Once she saw her pictures, she was AMAZED. Take a look:

In just 6 weeks, she lost “only” 8 lbs and was unhappy with the scale until we looked at her pictures
3. Paperwork. Please fill out the form below and bring it with you on your first day. Please also bring a copy of your PayPal receipt, or if you have a gift certificate voucher, please bring that. Remember, the studio is at 171 East Liberty Street in the Danceology studio, across from Tim Horton’s.
